Ah, but it's back to the road up to Jersey Friday to drop the paper and then farther up to Jersey City to get bundles of grain at the docks bound for Montgomery, Illinois Monday morning. Was hoping I could get some bragging rights via the Orange Bowl this year, but in a great (but frustrating) game, Miami got past my beloved Seminoles. Wouldn't you know it, FSU has it's own New Year's tradition called "Wide _____"
Fill in the blank to read wide right or wide left as they continue to lose by 2 points after a field goal kick goes the distance, but misses the mark. I think this is the fourth in about 6 years. I LOVE Bobby Bowden, but is it time for him to resign? He pushed the running game even though it wasn't productive and the few passes that were used, were less than 50% complete. Why stick with a quarterback who can't get the team moving? A disappointing year, again.
Next week ! Saturday, January 10th, Holly's band, Amazon, plays up at the Town Center Shopping Center hangout of mine, Sapphire's Lounge and Restaurant. Word is being put out among friends and neighbors so I hope to see a good crowd when I get home next weekend!
Off to Columbus today, warm but wet with a foggy morning here in Carlisle, PA.bb. (posting this from Columbus where the weather is awful - driving rain for the past 3 hours)
