Got up to Milwaukee last night after a pleasant day of driving in 40 degree weather. Too late to call Judy so I just camped out in the GMills lot for the night and got a quick start this morning, dropping one trailer and picking up a loaded one on the other side of the building. Just came back down thru Chicago (overcast, 40 degrees)and will just go to Indy tonite. Tomorrow will be another fairly short day with a 400 mile, 7 hour ride to Chattanooga. Driving less than 8 hours a day is the only way to keep from bumping up against the 70 hour per 8 day federal driving limit. Illinois is talking again of considering raising the 55 mph truck limit to match the 65mph limit they allow cars. All states should have equal limits, the split limits are not safe and directly contribute to a huge amount of accidents as cars rearend trucks at night and trucks have difficulty passing slower trucks without cutting off the much faster car traffic in the left lane.

PUB UPDATE : The trial was still on as scheduled as of this morning and should be either underway right now, or even over and done with if the rumors of Val and Amanda pleading out to Conspiracy ends up true. My buddy Skipp is calling the court clerk on a regular basis and is trying to get the inside scoop from a "friend of a friend". The latest news, as always, is at his website

I've checked local news outlets just now with noone reporting any results yet (trial was set to begin at 9:30 this morning).
