". . . but I have MILES TO GO before I sleep, miles to go before I sleep." Robert Frost
Back in the Saddle Again
I nearly had to hijack my own truck Tuesday when I picked up a trailer loaded with Cocoa Puffs !!
Delivered that to Kennesaw, GA. then dropped down to Covington and got this trailer headed north to Galesburg, Ill. Nice warm weather for the time being, 60's in GA yesterday and 50's today in southern Illinois. I'll head to an area east of St. Louis for the night and then chug north tomorrow. Had a slight delay overnight as I stopped at the Marietta terminal to get my windshield replaced. A rock last week starred it, but it grew more and more and while I took the weekend off, I guess in the heat of the sun, the crack turned upwards towards the center of the glass. Didn't fancy having a 2' x 3' piece of glass shatter in my face at 60mph so got it taken care of while it was convenient.
BTW had a fun Saturday night watching my sisters band, Amazon play a local bar. They brought a lot of friends and it was a great crowd. Good music for a classic rock guy like myself - stay tuned and get ready to visit Oliver's on Main Street in Laurel next month!
Fuel and a soda and I'll finish today's drive (another 240 miles from this truckstop near Ft. Campbell in Kentucky).bb.
