after 36 hours of phone tag the company workmans comp office got in touch with me, took my preliminary report (I call back tomorrow for a phone conference with my manager and the safety dude), and set me up with an appointment in the morning at a local hospital where we go for all our occupational health screenings and testing.  Lets hope its as simple as some good anti-biotics and a couple of days off, uh, weeks, I meant weeks!
