radioToday is the birthday of my middle sister (who I just went to Spamalot with ). Sort of over-shadowed growing up with the 4th of July usually finding our family packed in the car to go to Massachusetts - kind of like being born at Christmas except at least she didn't lose the chance to get presents! This year we shared a birthday gift from our younger sister Holly who got us the tix to the play knowing how much we have always liked Monty Python (and Mel Brooks, and Firesign Theatre, and ...).
Last year I blogged about her fascinating career history as a radio dj (she left radio and dedicated herself to being our Mom's companion for the past several years since Mom started losing her memory). Here's a link to the blog - we Brandon's get around a bit, eh?

And here's a photo I couldn't find last year, living in Luxembourg, Sal had a REAL Mini before Mini's were cool. (don't ask me how I folded myself into that thing for our tour of the countryside one afternoon!)
She is also known as the gardening godess, the genealogist genius, and the kitchen dirvish!
