". . . but I have MILES TO GO before I sleep, miles to go before I sleep." Robert Frost

I cheated.
Nap #2 had me wake up after just a couple of hours so instead of staring at the ceiling for 3 more hours, I headed onward to St. Louis where I can stop and have almost a full 10 hour break before I need to wake up and finish the ride to Kansas City.
Got my next assignment already that allows for my short hours of availability (what we call the time we have that we can legally drive within our logbook's 8 day/70 hour rule). Picks up at the GMills plant there in KC and doesn't deliver to Chattanooga til anytime before 7pm Saturday.
I don't have a clue how I'll handle the next couple of days. I can drive 6 hours Thursday after I get the new load, but then only have 2 hours available Friday. Could stay in KC and drive 8 Friday (putting me in central nowhere Kentucky), or could go to St. Louis Thursday and hang for a day (Chattanooga is about 7 1/2 hours from St. Louis so would be an easy day trip Saturday). Oh Well - stocked up on VHS tapes for just such an emergency !
Jet Li's Romeo Must Die; Travolta's Swordfish; Pam Greer's Blackploitation spoof Foxy Brown; Showtime with DeNiro and Eddie Murphy (now THERE's a combination!); and TuPac's last hurrah, Gang Related (duh!). What can I say? the truck stop had a good selection of previously viewed tapes for only $5 each!
Will save that for later - for now it's a little chow, "24" and will try to get 8 hours sleep and back to a normal schedule with a 3am wake up for the 4 hour drive to KC.
No come backs - shout out
