". . . but I have MILES TO GO before I sleep, miles to go before I sleep." Robert Frost

just another day!
another car crossed the median. Today it was north of Columbus on I-71 and shut down the interstate when the trucker swerved and drove off the roadway to avoid the crash flipping his rig and rolling it back onto the road. Didn't hear about any injuries. This was an early morning accident.
Now I've seen some weird and wild weather and natural events, but this today was WEIRD ! I've been in shaking distance of 2 eathquakes, a state away from a volcano blast, rode out Hurricane Gloria in Ocean City, Md. Been within sight of 2 or 3 tornados, and been stranded in my truck due to severe blizzards and even a firestorm that crossed I-80 in the Seirra Nevadas a few years back. Last year I witnessed "snowrollers" in Illinois, an event that hadn't been reported in 75 years where falling snowflakes tumble in high wind, gather snow, and become snowballs. Thousands of them scattered across farmfields varying in size from tin cans to 55 gallon drums. I've got photos of them on one of my photo sites.

But TODAY, in Michigan, it rained mud! Yes! The rain was brown, the puddles were brown, and when the cars and trucks dried off, they were coated with red dirt. Seems Texas and New Mexico have been experiencing some bad duststorms. The red clay kicked up high enough to be carried aloft by the jet stream. North across the US til it his the precipitation around the Great Lakes where the rain fall them washed the dirt out of the sky. Mix dirt and water, and you get mud!
No come backs - shout out
