I saw weather reports yesterday showing a thin band of snow and ice coming east as I go west across Ohio and Indiana and thought not too much about it. Heard a tv forecast that mentioned 6-10 inches in Chicago in the next 24 hours so went on-line to look at the radar activity. Have changed my route entirely and will drive due west to stay under the bad weather and then head north up central Illinois and hopefully the weather will have settled down as I approach I-80. Won't be on-line tomorrow so unless I get caught in a further surprise, will likely be headed south by Monday afternoon.(fingers crossed!)
